چکیده

The 7Li bombardment of 5IV has been used in conjunction with recoil distance lifetime (RDM), y-y coincidence, angular d stribution, and Doppler shift attenuation lifetime (DSAM) measurements to gain information on the properties of high-spin states in the nuclei 5~Fe, ~~Mn, and 5~Cr. Mean lifetimes (T) determined by RDM were as follows —in "Fe: 1409-keV level (v = 57.8 + 3.5 psec), 2813 (14.5+ 3.1 psec), 5099 (32.3 +1.1 psec); in Mn: 126-keV level (&=382+16 psec); in ~Cr: 2173-keV level (&=47+15 psec); 3084 (7'=-43+15 psec). Tentative spin assignments were made as follows —in 5 Fe: 5099-keV level J= (+, 6526, Z= ( & ), in ~5Mn: 5056-keV level J = (~&). Lifetimes (or limits) were also established from DSAM measurements for a number of other levels in the above nuclei ~ The results are compared to shell model calculations.

Evaluation of corrosion behaviour on Mn-Cr austenitic steels using 0.1 M HCl solution

One of the attractive low activation steels is the austenitic Mn-Cr steel from the view point of waste disposal because of few long-lived nuclides. In this paper, three types of Mn-Cr austenitic steels were fabricated by vacuum induction furnace. Then plates with 10 mm thickness were fabricated by hot-rolling. The physical metallurgy of these steels was studied by the corrected Schaeffler diagr...

Stimuli responsive hybrid magnets: tuning the photoinduced spin-crossover in Fe(III) complexes inserted into layered magnets.

The insertion of a [Fe(sal2-trien)](+) complex cation into a 2D oxalate network in the presence of different solvents results in a family of hybrid magnets with coexistence of magnetic ordering and photoinduced spin-crossover (LIESST effect) in compounds [Fe(III)(sal2-trien)][Mn(II)Cr(III)(ox)3]·CHCl3 (1·CHCl3), [Fe(III)(sal2-trien)][Mn(II)Cr(III)(ox)3]·CHBr3 (1·CHBr3), and [Fe(III)(sal2-trien)...

Redox reactions and the influence of natural Mn oxides on Cr oxidation in a contaminated site in northern Italy: evidence from Cr stable-isotopes and EPR spectroscopy

Hexavalent chromium-contaminated groundwaters and sediments in northern Italy have been studied using the Cr stable-isotope systematics and electron spin resonance spectroscopy (ESR), in order to explore redox changes and soil-groundwater interactions. The isotopic data indicate a possible Cr(VI) source released into the environment from an industrial plant. EPR spectra on the sediments which c...

Mn NMR in Mn12 acetate: Hyperfine interaction and magnetic relaxation of cluster

The 55 Mn NMR in oriented powder crystal of Mn12Ac has been investigated at 1.4−2.0 K in zero field and with external fields along the c-axis. Three kinds of 55 Mn NMR, with central frequencies at 230.2±0.1, 279.4±0.1 and 364.±0.1 MHz, composed of five-fold quadrupole-split lines for I=5/2 nuclei have been interpreted to arise from Mn 4+ ion, and two crystallographically-inequivalent Mn 3+ ions...
